Nail Varnish Review: Revlon Neon Atomic Pink

So, sometimes a girl has just gotta have some pink in her life. I wanted some hot pink nail polish and found a duo that has a white base to give the neon color more pop.

The white base was thick and went on messily. It looked similar to when I painted my nails with white-out in high school. It dried extremely quickly (by the time I was done with my pinkie, my thumb had dried). The pink was much thinner and went on smoothly. It, too, dried very quickly although a bit slower than the base. I was beginning to doubt my purchase at this point because the color was good but a bit spotty. The second coat of pink quickly removed all doubt. It slid on smoothly over the first coat and made all my nails look very even. Just what the nail tech called for!

I am not, by any means, a pro at painting my nails. Most of the time, I'm not wearing any polish at all. Also, I don't have any nail polish remover sitting around for clean-up and didn't think to smear lotion around my fingernails beforehand. Please excuse the mess.

The color is a bit more neon than I was hoping for (I would have liked something slightly more creamy), but it is even and overall, worth the money and the time to paint my nails.

PS. After taking the picture, I noticed that there were actual directions on the back side of the label... Apparently two coats of the base and two coats of the color are recommended. I like the results from one base and two color, but if you buy it, let me know how you like the results from 2 and 2.
